Digital Darjeeling

Digital Darjeeling is a multifaceted initiative around research, teaching and learning around the Eastern Himalayas. The initiative began with a course taught in the Jackman Summer Institute at the University of Toronto  July 7-11, 2014 titled "Mountains and Empire: Himalayan Histories of Adventure and Livelihood," and will continue at a workshop during the Digital Pedagogy and the Undergraduate Experience institute late in the summer. The project will teach a course on Digital Darjeeling at the University of Toronto in 2016 where students will create a digital history project using primary and secondary resources about Darjeeling to accompany the Project Sherpa digital archive that is in progress.
